Nutrition can be described as the supply of materials- aka food- required by organisms and cells to stay alive. Nutrition is the terminology used to describe the basic science of how our bodies consume and utilize food.
Nutritional science includes catabolism (body breakdown of food) and anabolism (body repair and creation of cells and tissue). Catabolism and Anabolism = metabolism, which is directly linked to nutrition-affecting our bodies ability to obtain and hold energy.

Whether we like it or not, we all are exposed to hazards on a daily basis. Many physical, chemical and biological hazards are simply out of our control. One thing we CAN control, however, is what we put into our individual bodies. Unhealthy eating and physical inactivity are leading causes of death, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. On the flip side, fueling the human body with a healthy and balanced diet has proven key to living a long and vigorous lifestyle.
Many times feeling sluggish, tired, stressed and depressed are CHOICES. Choices that are pampered by excuses we make to justify unhealthy lifestyle.
